Well in yearly fashion I will post my thoughts... I am really bad at blogging obviously. But a lot has happened in our life.
1. I graduated nursing school!
2. Got a RN position at the U of U hospital.
3. We are going to be parents :)
If that's not enough new changes then I don't know what is!
Nursing school was such an accomplishment to me. I have always wanted to be a nurse and that was always my end goal. It's weird to be at the end of that goal and realize that I have to get a grown up job now.... No more school? At least for now, right? But man I am so glad to be done with the stress and worry of school assignments, clinicals, and exams. Poor Tyler still has a year to go. I am super nervous for my new job but I know that if I keep learning and remember the reason I started this journey I can make it through.
We are going to be parent's! This just seems crazy to me but I am oh so excited! Tyler and I had been trying to get pregnant for over a year when it finally happen. Needless to say I think the Lord had a hand in perfect timing because I don't think I could have made it through nursing school and being pregnant at the same time... We found out right after we got home from our anniversary trip to Zion's national park. I even made it to the top of Angel's Landing with a little being inside me. I was so shocked and then the excitement and then the sickness. Morning sickness for me was pretty brutal. Driving made it even worse which didn't help with my current job. I ended up going to the ER twice for replacement fluids and medication. I am also a HUGE believer in Sea Bands. (Bless those little bands!) My intense nausea finally subsided around 20 weeks but it likes to come back ever once in awhile. I am so greatfully that during that time I had Tyler. He was (and still is) the best! Between blessings and doing the dishes I don't know where I would be with out him.
When we found out that our little squishy was a boy we were both so excited. Tyler was in shock at first and didn't believe me when I told him. haha Both of our families are excited for the new edition and I can't wait to meet him. April can't come fast enough!
