2 Years Later...

Not only am I terrible at keeping up on blogging but I'm terrible at journaling too. So let's just sum up a few years and call it good. ;)

Of course so much has happened!!! I mean it's been almost 2 years since my last entry. LOL First Luke has been such an amazing blessing in our lives. He has always been such a chill and happy baby. But I guess he's not much of a baby any more... Where does the time go? Luke will be turning 2 in May. So here are a few things about him that stick out to me (and somethings I will want to remember down the road too) include:
1. He's so smart! You can't hide or distract him from what he wants, even if that means getting there by his own will. I hope that determination and independence creates a most marvelously brilliant Adult way down the road. :)
2. He loves animals (any and all), Mickey Mouse, PJ Masks, trains, cars, outside... He's very much a boy in what he loves to do. It's so much fun to play with him and see his personality grow each day.
3. He is very much a blanket kid. And he knows what he likes when it comes to material. He has one special gray blanket that he drags everywhere but he also enjoys fluffy and silk blankets as well. (I think his expensive taste may come from me...)
4. Something cute he has learned to say is please. But this isn't just a please and thank you please. it's a dragged out pppplllleeeaaassseee with his fists under his chin and of course puppy dog eyes. (He's mastered how to get what he wants needless to say). Like I said in number 1 (see above).

I could go on and on about Luke. But you would all be bored and the post would be way to long... So Next up: Tyler graduated college from the UofU with a bachelors in May 2017. Yipee! :D He's working as a translator for an adopted child from China. It's fun and challenging for him. Teenage girls are fun...... We moved out of the student apartments. That was a sad day. We had been living there since we got married. But it was the right move at the time. We ended up enjoying time living with my Grandma. It was actually a blessing for us in that we could save money for house and help her with things she needed. (I also learned a lot about my grandma in her younger years. Funny stories and interesting facts from a different time period). I can more fully appreciate what we have and what we can obtain now verses what times were like when my grandma was younger.

October of 2017 we got to travel to China. Tyler has always wanted to go and of course it was a trip of a lifetime. Very surreal! Luke came along for the ride too. I was nervous about traveling that far with him but he was a champ and actually really enjoyed it too. We got to see a lot of different sites in Beijing and surrounding cities that I can neither pronounce nor spell.... But by far the most amazing thing to see was the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City. Check that off the bucket list. Our tour guides were awesome and everyone on our tour was super great with Luke. (He became the mascot in a way haha). All I can say is that China was beautiful in a very different way then what we live in Utah. I'm so grateful for what we have and the freedoms that we do enjoy.

We bought a house! It's also in Tooele! It was crazy stressful and exciting all at the same time. It's a cute starter home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Tyler and I have done a lot of work prior to us moving in and I love that I can do what I want with it. It's a dream come to true to own your own place. With that we also got a puppy. He's a lot of fun and Luke loves him! It's a tiny chiweenie. We ended up naming him Kylo. He's been such a good puppy so far, but next time I'm going to do the already potty trained route.

Last but not least we are expecting baby number 2 in July (the picture below is wrong, I got bumped up a week. Whooo)! :D Even better that it's a girl. Pregnancy has been, to be honest, just as awful as the last. But for some reason you forget that when you are wanting another snuggly baby. She's very shy and has refused to let me see her full face at my ultrasound appointments. Shy or Stubborn? IDK. This pregnancy has gone by so much faster then Luke's ever did.  But she is healthy and growing along great. We can't wait to meet her. Luke has started pointing and patting my belly saying baby. But I think he may be confused because he now says the same thing when patting his belly. lol. He's going to be an awesome brother.

Well... I think that's a good enough summary with words and pictures. Sorry it's so long but then again it has been 2 years. I would promise to write again sooner but life is busy and I know that it won't happen! :)
