Lost Then Found

I always seem to be missing something of importance... Maybe that's because I'm always busy? But as usual I lost my phone on the Trax train. Oh Great... :( There goes all my contacts and private information that I would prefer no one else get there hands on. As I waited and worried for the train operator to return it to the lost and found office I realized something, this is exactly how our Heavenly Father feels when we are "lost" among the worldly things. He patiently waits and worries until eventually they return to there righteous place. Of course it's silly to compare a worldly cell phone to someone important that is cared about much more then a cell phone. But I couldn't help but understand slightly how much our Heavenly Father does love each and every one of us, individually!

"Now, if for any reason you individually or as a family have lost your way, then you need only apply the Savior’s teachings from Luke, chapter 15, to correct your course. Here the Savior tells of the effort of a shepherd searching for his lost sheep, of a woman searching for a lost coin, and of the welcome received by the prodigal son returning home. Why did Jesus teach these parables? He wanted us to know that none of us will ever be so lost that we cannot find our way again through His Atonement and His teachings."

I am grateful for the small moments when I am reminded of the love that my Heavenly Father shows me!

One Year Later...

What a year it has been! Married life is great! We moved to an apartment in Salt Lake. It's so nice to have your own place. (Even if you have cinder block walls...) We love the community of the Village here at the U. We also love the closeness of work and school. Traveling back and forth from Tooele is quick long. Needless to say I don't miss that drive every morning!

Tyler is currently studying Chinese and International Studies. I think I see international travel in our future! Do You? haha

I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter to nursing school.... Fingers Crossed! I will find out if I start in the spring around Thanksgiving. (What an awful time to find out don't you think?) So I will keep you all posted! :) In the mean time though I am working full time and just taking a couple of easy classes to pass the time.

Tyler and I also made the ballroom company at the U. It is soooo much fun! I didn't realize how much I miss dancing! We are paired together in our team Cha Cha which is a lot of fun. We are also partnered in our Lindy dance. I also forgot how out of shape I am! HA Talk about a kick in the butt! After a four hour Saturday rehearsal I thought I was going to fall apart! But in the end it was totally worth it!

Well to finish my post for now I wanted to post an inspirational quote that has helped me keep on trucking along.

“Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide on, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
